DuRoss and Hazelwood bring decades of construction management and engineering experience to their new roles
Waltham, Mass. (February 8, 2017) – CTA Construction announced today that it has named Jeffrey Hazelwood and Paul DuRoss as Vice Presidents of CTA Construction.
With this promotion, Hazelwood will focus on business development, estimating, and procurement as a Vice President for CTA. As a Project Executive, he has demonstrated leadership and professionalism while ensuring the completion of a variety of complex, deadline-driven projects undertaken by CTA. These projects include the Park Avenue Elementary School in Webster, the Bresnahan Elementary School in Newburyport, the Marshall Simonds Middle School in Burlington, Maynard High School, and the Scituate Public Safety Building.
Hazelwood, who has been with CTA Construction for 15 years, has extensive experience in construction management, engineering, and the procurement of materials, equipment, and trade contractors. Under his management, numerous CTA projects have been recognized with industry awards for construction excellence, including a “Project of the Year” from American Public Works Association.
Hazelwood has a master’s degree in Business Administration from Boston University, a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from UMass Amherst, and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University. He lives with his family in Andover, Mass.
“Jeffrey Hazelwood’s attention to detail, integrity, strong organizational skills and work ethic have been invaluable to CTA Construction and the growth of our municipal construction practice,” said Patrick Tompkins, principal at CTA Construction. “We know he will continue to lead and execute great work for our firm as a Vice President.”
As Vice President at CTA, Paul DuRoss will lead the operations department, focusing on project execution, client satisfaction and overseeing project superintendents and project managers. Over the course of 15 years at CTA Construction, he has provided leadership and oversight for the day-to-day activities of several challenging projects, including Beverly High School, Tewksbury High School, Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, and the Revere Police Headquarters and Fire Station.
DuRoss has worked at every level of construction during two decades in project management, which has given him the technical experience, skills and knowledge necessary to manage and deliver logistically complex projects that require intensive coordination. His projects have consistently received accolades and have been the recipients of numerous awards, including a “Building Project of the Year” award from Construction Management Association of America.
DuRoss has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University. He lives with his family in Reading, Mass.
“Paul DuRoss consistently builds strong relationships between clients, construction teams and owner’s representatives,” said Lyle Coghlin, principal at CTA Construction. “Paul’s tremendous experience in construction management has been vital to the success of our firm, and we are excited to announce his promotion to Vice President.”
