The Morey School is a new elementary school for students in Pre-K to Grade 4. One of the challenges of this project is the construction of a new 2-story, 67,000 sf building just inches from the existing 45,000 sf school building, while the School remains in operation throughout the construction period. The new school contains a 5,100 sf gymnasium, a 2,500 sf cafetorium, and a 2,400 sf media center. The building envelope includes brick, block, aluminum windows, and metal panels with exterior sunshades, green roof and an energy management system.
