This project consists of a series of renovations to the existing 210,000 sf Foxborough High School. The work includes replacing the existing HVAC equipment with high efficiency systems, new roof, replacing windows, electrical upgrades, a new fire alarm system, replacing the gym floor, accessibility requirements and asbestos abatement. Also included are renovations and upgrades to the science labs, in part due to accreditation. This work includes reconfiguring the labs to “clabs” or classroom labs with interactive white boards, digital projection and sound systems, increased seating capacity, new ventilation and new safety systems. Work occurred while the building remained in use and occupied by students and teachers. Upon completion, one key result is the energy savings estimated to be 39% based on the current energy costs.
