This is a LEED Gold certified, 120,000 sf office building, which is the first phase of a two-phased project that serves as the combined headquarters for the Massachusetts Army and Air National Guard. The two-winged structure is connected by a multi-story lobby, and the interior is designed to be highly flexible in order to accommodate the changing mission and needs of the National Guard divisions. The building incorporates numerous sustainable features, including optimized energy performance, recycled-content building materials, water efficient landscaping, and an Indoor Air Quality Management Plan. Energy requirement is reduced by 19% and water usage by 50%.
