This new 29,000-square-foot facility is the headquarters of both the Scituate Police and Fire Departments, and includes a joint dispatch center and emergency operations center. Located on a six-acre site on Chief Justice Cushing Highway (Route 3), the facility increases response times of emergency personnel in the northern and western portions of Scituate. The facility is divided into separate police and fire areas, with administrative offices, public records storage, prisoner processing and detention, lockers and a fitness room, and a training and community meeting room. The building includes three bays for fire apparatus and a sally port for the safe transfer of prisoners between police vehicles and detention facility.
