The project is the construction of a new 3-story elementary school on a 6 acre site. The building, of approximately 153,855 gross square feet, will have two-floor openings outside the Media Center that connect all three levels. Since these floor openings do not contain stairs and are not separated from the main open stairs, they will be protected with fire shutters at the floor line at each level.

The project intends to meet a LEED Silver rating, and it is expected to exceed the energy code and the Energy Stretch Code.
